Good Spoke's journey started in 2014. I was looking through a World Vision catalog, when I saw that you could donate a bike to a girl in another country so that she could get an education. I saw this and felt like a lightbulb had just blinked on over my head. I ran a fundraiser and in a couple of weeks, my class was able to donate a bike in my name. This was a very rewarding moment. I knew that I was able to help a girl get an education. When an opportuinity came up at my school to write an essay for a $500 scholarship,  I jumped on the opportuinity. Writing the essay gave me the opportunity to think about what I was going to do.  This is when I found World Bicycle Relief. Over the course of 2015 I raised $1,698, which is 11 bikes! Many people in the world don't have safe access to health care, work, and school. When I set a goal, I will have the education and materials to achieve it. Not everyone has this. This is why I support World Bicycle Relief. I want everyone to have the opportunity to be what they want to be. Bicycles give people access to a hospital in case of injury, work to earn a living, and an education to better their lives.  Good Spokes was created in December of 2015, and an idea of helping people get safe access to education, work, and health care.
